At Prestige Corporate we concentrate on making sure that your transport
arrangements go smoothly and to this end we feel it is best to advise
you of the terms and conditions under which we will undertake your work.
Quotations
All quotations are offered on the basis that they are subject to suitable
vehicles still being available when the quotation is accepted. Where we
quote and arrange additional services such as dinners, ferry crossings,
admissions to visitor attractions etc. we do so your agent so the terms
and conditions of these suppliers would be binding on you as if you had
made the arrangements direct.
Unless specifically stated, coach parking and road tolls are not included
in the price and will be invoiced at cost, where applicable. Please note
that some airports make a charge for the use of their facilities and these
will also be invoiced at cost.
Routes and timings
Unless a specific route is requested we will direct the driver to operate
the most direct route to your destination. We are happy to offer advice
on predicted journey times, but cannot be held responsible for any delays
due to roadworks, road closures or other unforseen circumstances. It cannot
be assumed that the coach will be available for your use between the outward
and return portions of any return journeys unless specifically agreed.
Departure and return times will be agreed in advance and if these times
are exceeded by more than 20 minutes there will be an additional charge
(calculated pro-rata) for each hour or part hour delayed.
Complying with the law
Drivers have to adhere to strict rules governing their driving hours as
well as the frequency and duration of rest breaks. We will always plan
journey's to comply with the law. Our drivers will always do what they
can to accommodate any last minute changes, but it should be borne in
mind that there may be occasions where they would breaking the law to
so do. If last minute changes are requested we will do our best to accommodate
your request. Additional charges will apply if the work that the driver
was scheduled for has to be re-allocated, or a second driver has to be
called upon to complete the journey.
Please note that it is illegal to transport alcohol
on buses and coaches in Scotland.
Payment details
Unless you have credit with us we will require a non-refundable deposit
of 10% of the anticipated costs of the hire. Full payment of the balance
will be due at least 2 weeks prior to the first time that we will provide
you with our services. Should you have occasion to cancel the hire then
a scale of cancellation charges will apply. If we have more than 2 weeks
notice then only the deposit will be forfeit. If we receive notice of
between 2 weeks and 1 week then 50% of the hire cost is payable and if
we receive notice of less than one week the the full amount will be due.
Payment can either be made by Visa, Switch/Maestro, Mastercard and American
Express Credit Cards; cheque in sterling, drawn on a UK bank, or by bank
transfer.
Vehicles
We will always try and provide you with the coach type that you have requested,
however we reserve the right to provide a larger vehicle or to substitute
a similarly specified coach from one of our carefully selected travel
partners.
The number of passengers carried on our vehicles is governed by the law.
You should never attempt to carry more passengers than there are seats
on the vehicle.
Your Property
We will be happy to carry your luggage, but there is a finite amount of
storage space available on our coaches. If you anticipate that your group
will be travelling with an excess amount of luggage (more than one suitcase
per person) then please advise us at time of booking. It may be necessary
for us to provide you with a larger vehicle (at extra cost) to carry you,
your party and its luggage. We will do our best to look after your luggage,
but we limit our liability to a maximum claim or aggregate of claims of
£500 per person. You must not leave any valuables unattended on
the coach.
Smoking
We wish to offer our customers and staff a smoke free environment and
therefore smoking is not allowed on our coaches.
Complaints
We strive to provide you with the best service that we can. From time
to time things may not go quite as planned. If you are unhappy about any
element of your trip then please speak to our driver who will do what
they can to resolve the matter to your satisfaction, if at all possible.
If this does not cure the problem then please contact in writing as soon
as possible after your hire. We regret that we cannot investigate your
complaint if you have not contacted us within 14 days after the end of
your hire.
